How to Become an Environmental Writer.
Environmental management is becoming a key area within health and safety and we offer a range of NEBOSH, IEMA and iAS courses to help you understand this topic. Our suite of environmental courses will give you the practical skills and know-how to implement an environmental management system, as well as manage risks effectively.
This course will help students discern their career goals and the ways in which they aim to make a difference in the world via an Environmental Studies degree. Through course exercises and experiences students will begin to identify and acquire the skills and tools they can use to make those changes. The course will include an investigation into the range of environmentally focused careers.
The class includes a focus on the assessment and management of environmental impacts on people through the interface between environmental science and engineering activities that mitigate environmental risks. Learning objectives are assessed through a formative portfolio covering the main syllabus areas. Student interaction is encouraged throughout the class through structured feedback.
This course introduces students to a range of modes of writing in environmental studies. In the process of reading, discussing and practising different kinds of environmental writing, students will develop a variety of writing skills in addition to an appreciation of writing as an important form of environmental action.
